MIKE CONCANNON
MIKE CONCANNON
Mike brings 30 years of construction and development experience to FBI. He started on construction sites as a kid with shovel in hand, and, over time, his passion has become “working ON” versus “working IN” the business of contracting.
Mike’s experience includes working for a family-owned self-performing general contractor out of college followed by a 22-year run with Lendlease, a leading international construction and property organization, culminating in senior/executive leadership. After Lendlease, he started and served as CEO of a regional development/construction company which led to becoming CEO of Charles Pankow Builders, a 60-year-old self-performing general contractor.
Mike’s expertise includes strategic and operational planning, new business generation, change management, enhanced profit and loss (P&L) performance, cultural transformation, succession planning, and talent development. He has extensive experience in turning underperforming organizations around, creating new, profitable business ventures, and expanding revenue streams within existing businesses.
Originally from Chicago and a graduate of Illinois State University, Mike relocated to Southern California for work in 2005 for what was to be a one-year “tour,” but the warmer SoCal weather and meeting a wonderful woman who became his wife made the relocation permanent. He and his wife love to travel, spend time outdoors, and pamper their two French Bulldogs, Wrigley and Hanalei. He is active in his community including serving on the Board of Directors for the Boys and Girls Club of Los Angeles Harbor.
