I 100% agree with having your employees back. This is actually came up in our organization not to long ago. It is much easier to correct certain things if you have complete confidence that your supervisor has your back. In many cases when doing the right thing for the company and you know that its right, but for what ever reason its not correct in your supervisors eyes, can deflate your confidence in a hurry.
