We’ve had a fun and exciting 2015, and we hope you’re approaching the end of the calendar year with a full head of steam. The team at The Family Business Institute is planning lots of changes and new service offerings in the coming year, so we thought we’d give you a heads up about what to expect.
First, our new mission: The Family Business Institute facilitates lasting business success and family harmony for our clients. The new Mission Statement is shorter, simpler, and more accurately captures that which we deliver. All family owned business stakeholders want the same two things: they want their families to be harmonious and their businesses to be prosperous. Sure, there are other things on the wish lists as well, but these are the two primary ambitions, and that’s what we’ve engineered our consulting services to consistently produce.
Second, we will be rolling out our new website right after the first of the year. The design will be a little simpler, and navigation will be a little more intuitive. And we will keep the weekly blog posts coming.
Third, we are growing our peer review program aggressively. In partnership with the Associated General Contractors of America (AGC), we have rebranded our peer group offering for commercial contractors. It is now called AGC PRO. Click here to preview the new AGC PRO website. There are 100 participants in AGC PRO from Florida to Alaska. Membership grew by 35% in 2015, and we anticipate another 30%+ growth this coming year. Fourth – and this is something towards which we’ve been building for over five years – we will be introducing Family Business University (FBU) in Q2 of 2016. FBU will be an interactive, subscription-only part of our website featuring:
- Quarterly live, interactive webinars with our professional consultants
- Instructional videos
- Podcasts
- Our archive of hundreds of articles about family owned business planning
- A new White Paper that every family business ought to read
- Self-help diagnostic tools
- Many other resources”¦
Charter FBU members will also receive a complimentary copy of our forthcoming book, a $29.99 value all by itself, with their subscriptions. We’re very excited about this new offering!
