Bill Provett has been active in a variety of domestic and international industries including manufacturing, electronics, telecommunications, and automotive as a consultant and agent of change.
Bill’s undergraduate degree is a BS in Electrical Engineering. He is an MBA and is a licensed North Carolina General Contractor. While working in the telecommunications industry for ITT and Northern Telecom at the Vice President and General Manager levels, he managed over 3,000 employees and was responsible for a business division with over $100 million in annual sales.
During his 15 years of business consulting, Bill has worked with Fortune 500 companies such as United Technologies Automotive and Flowserve. Since joining The Family Business Institute in 2002, Bill has worked with dozens of family and closely-held companies.
Bill has over 35 years of experience as an internal and external consultant in the business world.
